We only allow dogs outside of peak times. Dogs are not permitted during school holidays and long weekends.

Dogs must strictly be on lead at all times whilst in the park, however we do have many beautiful pet friendly beaches and two fenced dogs parks in our local area for on and off lead exercise! Click here to download the dog exercise area map.

If you go out for the day, please take your dog with you. It can be very stressful for your dog if you leave them alone in a new environment. If you have activities planned that your dog can't attend, like a dolphin cruise, you can book in for doggy daycare with our friends at Nelson Bay Kennels. Advance bookings are advised.

Yes, we have free BBQ areas for your convenience. 

We have three amenities blocks located around the park with hot showers and toilets. The accessible bathroom is attached to the main amenity block.

Yes, we have a large camp kitchen with plenty of seating, a TV,  fridges, microwaves, toaster, kettles.

We are located on Port Stephens Drive approximately 5 minutes to the Anna Bay Shopping Village or Salamander Bay Square and just 10 minutes to the heart of Nelson Bay. 

The closest beach is Birubi Beach located just 4km away, less than a 5 minute drive. The furthest beach is located 15 minutes away with many other beaches in between.

Yes, we have bbq areas around the park which are free to use. 

We allow byo firepits on campsites during winter from 1st May - 31st August. Firepits are strictly not permitted outside of these times.

Yes, day visitors are welcome (subject to seasonal restrictions) and there is a day pass available which is $5 per person. Day visitors are welcome in the park until 8pm, after that time they will be considered overnight guests and charge accordingly. Children must be fully supervised by their parent/ guardian and an adult must be always present in the pool area. All visitor vehicles must park in the allocated visitor car parking. Please ensure all day visitors check in with Reception.

We have a range of facilities for children including our jumping pillow, pool with waterslide, giant chess, mini bowling, table tennis, giant connect 4 basketball, 2 playgrounds, soccer goals and a basketball hoop. We also have pedal karts for hire which are $15 for 45 minutes. All other activities are free although a refundable deposit for equipment hire may be required.
